21 day fix update

Hey fitness & wellness friends. I wanted to check in on you & see how you were doing. How is the nutrition going? Are you working out? I hope so. I’m cheering for you!

Here’s my cheer face!

You can do this!!! ๐Ÿ˜

I’ve been doing 21 day fix. My friend let me borrow her DVDs and I didn’t have the containers to go with it. They are measuring tools and a meal plan. I truly believe I would’ve had better results if I had those tools and the following…

The ability to drink water all day. I work in a lab and some days I’m in the lab 4-8 hours. This means no eating or drinking. I am trying to find ways around it but it’s a struggle. I can’t drink water all day because….

It’s true! So it’s a work in progress.

As far as actual results….drum roll please….

Lost about 6 inches, dropped one pant size. Not bad for 21 days right. Lost fat! You can see it in my abs, face, back. More muscle tone! Certainly a program I would recommend. Yet follow the meal plan! I’m sure that gives even better results. I’ve been eating healthy, just not a clean as the program says.

So, if you’re looking for a program that will work your entire body and give you great results, try 21 day fix. I’m going to purchase it so I have the containers and more closely follow the program!

Best wishes to you! You can do this!

Oh here’s a snap shot of breakfast today…

Aria protein powder from Trader Joes (3 scoops=45 grams of protein).

Cup of mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, snozeberries (jkidding…)).

Distillers water!

It’s yummy! Not kidding. Best tasting protein I’ve had.

Love,

Don’t Give Up

Hi my fitness friends! I hope you are taking care of yourself. Yes indeed. Are you staying motivated?

I am continuing on with 21 Day Fix. Two weeks have passed and I’m down 1 dress size. I will do another round and then possibly 21 Day Extreme. I will say this program yields the fastest results than any program I’ve tried including P90X, Ripped in 30, or a gym program. It really does get you results. I think I’d see even greater results if I did 7 instead 5-6 days. My work schedule doesn’t always offer me the best options for working out. Like today I had to go in at 5am. So up at 3:45am. When I got home I was exhausted! I will though work out tonight.

That being said, here’s my motivation for continuing on…

I love how I feel after I workout!

I have more energy!

I like not having wobbly bits…

It’s for my health.

My skin looks better!

To protect my bones! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

To age gracefully…

To feel comfy in my clothes!

To inspire others to get fit!

To maintain all the muscle from my youth…

To respect myself by respecting my body!

To honor God with by taking care of His temple, this body!

To cease seeing photos I want to burn because I look unhealthy…

To look awesome in my bathing suit (sounds vain, but it’s true)!

What’s your motivation??? You can do this. I believe in YOU!

Xoxo,

Erin

Reset (It’s never to late to pursue healthy living!)

Hey fitness friends. So sorry I’ve been MIA (missing in action). It’s been crazy busy and I’ve not been the best honestly at working out and eating healthy. Work stress, family things, so many things just crashing in on the taking care of me part of life. No excuses, just telling you where I’ve been.

I found myself too tired to workout…too tired to prep meals…too tired…too tired to blog or do fun things.

Yet there was a moment last month where the light bulb went off. I can’t afford to not take care of me even in the crazy busy seasons. What could I take off my plate?

I realized my last real vacation was in 2010. I realized I needed a reset button. I needed to get back on track and quickly.

So, my friend Meg invited me to California and I took off work for a week! Whoohooo! Look at the view from highway 1, Pacific Coast Highway.

I realized as I drove down the coast that I wanted so many things I’d let slip by…it was time to reset. Just being away from people bugging me all day caused me to lose some weight. Stress, my friends, will pack on the pounds.

I realized sitting on the beach that I needed more than what I’d been living. Not more material things, more care for my body. I was taking care of the spiritual and soul care. Yet all are necessary.

Since I’ve returned from Cali, I’ve joined a FB fitness group with my coworker. I started a fitness program called 21 Day Fix. It comes with a meal plan that focuses on portion control. I’ve taken some activities off my plate. I’m making time to work out. No excuses! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ and I’ve hit the reset button.

We have one body. It must be taken care of. It’s a temple.

I will share more information about this new program soon! I hope I can inspire you too…we can do this! Yes we can…

What I can say is the following…

Getting away helped to reset perspective and rid of some stress! Thank goodness. Just getting away from the office felt amazing!

Getting away helped reset my eating habits and fatigue. We walked quite a bit. Some days 3-5 miles a day and we ate fairly healthy.

Starting 21 day fix and having a group of fitness buddies is super motivating. It’s nice to have others cheering for you while you’re cheering for others.

I have more energy when I do things right. Give my body the right fuel and workout! It’s SO worth it! I can do this!! So can you!

For your health! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’ฏ

Warm Regards,

Erin
